Last September our press office received the mandate as MuDeFri’s Italian press office, Museo del Design del Friuli Venezia Giulia, born from an idea of the architect Anna Lombardi. MuDeFri’s headquarters is online, where the public can visit exhibitions about the history of Friulian design, browsing from room to room.
After writing an institutional press release, which described this original reality and its underlying aims, the communication developed on some of the interactive exhibits offered by the museum. In particular, the exhibition entitled Women Designers in FVG, which incorporates an investigation on women’s role in Italian design started by the Milan Triennale in 2016;
an exhibition on fiberglass, an important invention of two businessmen from Udine that marked the industrial production of the twentieth century; at least the previews on Udine Design Week. This event allows the website to take place every year in the Udine city center transforming it in an open sky museum.
In a few months the interest of the editorial staff was caught, the journalists considered this project especially interesting and original. MuDeFri has been published on many periodicals and webmagazine, such as DDN, Casa Facile, AD, Interni and Area, which with their editorials have therefore contributed in a valid and appreciated way to the knowledge of Friulian design at national level.
